Students should be reading two steps for 100 Book Challenge every evening. On the weekends it is a minimum of 8 steps (this weekend, Columbus Day Weekend it is 10 steps). If the student wishes to double that amount (16 steps, this weekend 20 steps), it will be extra credit and can be used to erase a previously earned 0.
This marking period we are reading the novel The Adventures of Charlotte Doyle in our Read Aloud and we are strengthening our skills of prediction and forshadowing.
We will be taking the LEARNIA test the week of October 11th. In addition to the skills and Read Aloud we will be continuing with our small guided reading groups and reviewing the skills needed for narrative writing.
